The European Week of Regions and Cities (#EURegionsWeek) is the biggest annual event in Brussels dedicated to regional and urban policy.

The organizers of the event are: Directorate General of the European Commission for Regional and Urban Policy (DG REGIO) and the European Committee of the Regions (CoR).

The 21st edition of #EURegionsWeek will take place from 9 to 12 October 2023, on site in Brussels. Events and networking opportunities will welcome participants at several locations in Brussels.

With the motto Thriving Regions, Stronger Europe, #EURegionsWeek 2023 will focus on the following six themes:

• Regions in post-industrial transition
• Retention of talent for regional development
• Small and medium-sized urban centers as drivers of development
• Breaking down obstacles for cross-border cooperation
• Local energy shift for security and sustainability
• Promotion of social innovation.

In order to participate in #EURegionsWeek, partners can create their activities within the following formats:

• Participatory/Political laboratory
• Workshop
• EURegions' talk (like a TED talk)
• Settlement of stands
• Tasting of regional products.

Eligible applicants:

• Management bodies of EU funds
• EU institutions and institutional partners
• Local and regional authorities and their associations
• European Group for Territorial Cooperation (EGTC)
• Public-private partnership
• Associations and institutions that contribute/participate in the EU program.

The deadline for submission of proposals/applications to participate in #EURegionsWeek is 11 April 2023 at 12:00.
