The Croatian Association of Counties organized a photo exhibition entitled "I love my county" and a reception marking three major anniversaries at the European Committee of the Regions in Brussels.

The head of the Croatian delegation in the European Committee of Regions, Nikola Dobroslavić, said that this event marks three major anniversaries - 30 years since the formation of Croatian counties, 20 years since the establishment of the Croatian Union of Counties and ten years of membership in the European Union.

Numerous guests, including Vice President of the European Commission Dubravka Šuica, Permanent Representative to the European Union Irena Andrassy, ​​Croatian representatives in the European Parliament and representatives of European regions, were able to see 21 photos with recognizable motifs from each of the 21 Croatian counties. For eight years, the Croatian Association of Counties has been organizing a competition for the best photos, the authors of which are professional and amateur photographers, with the aim of promoting the uniqueness of the counties.

 "The photos you see around you represent every Croatian county and I am extremely honored that they are here today in the European Committee of Regions," said the president of the Croatian Union of Counties, Danijel Marušić, prefect of Brod-Posavina County. He also thanked the European Committee of the Regions for the opportunity to "show a piece of our small but beautiful country".

Along with Brod-Posavina county prefect Danijela Marušić, Slavonia, Baranja and Srijem were represented by Virovitica-Podravine county prefect Igor Andrović, Osijek-Baranja county deputy prefect Josip Miletić and head of Representative office of the Slavonia, Baranja and Srijem in Brussels Renata Taušan.
