SBSinfo: Scalable Cities Action Grant - third call for proposals open

The third call for submission of Scalable Cities Action Grant project proposals is open until the end of January 2024.

The Scalable Cities Action Grant financially supports cities and ad hoc partnerships that want to replicate measures successfully implemented through smart cities and communities projects to facilitate the transition to climate neutrality. The call is intended for cities and related partners (local energy agencies, construction agencies, civil society organizations, research institutes) from completed Horizon 2020 SCC01 Lighthouse projects and/or external cities interested in replicating specific actions from Scalable Cities projects.

The third call for proposals deals with three main priority topics:

Energy communities
Positive energy districts
Data and digitization
This call seeks to:

support, promote and establish energy communities and/or initiate community energy projects, or;
initiating the development of a positive energy district (PED) in a local context and/or addressing the technical, spatial, regulatory, legal, financial, social and economic challenges of ongoing PED development projects and/or offering mentoring and knowledge sharing on PED development, or ;
accelerate the digitization of the energy sector, which can help municipalities reduce energy consumption, encourage investment in renewable energy sources and ultimately reduce energy bills.
The total envelope available for this call is €395,000. The maximum amount of grants for one project is €50,000.

Deadline: the third call for project proposals closes on January 31, 2024. Find more information here.
