REACT-EU: 10 million euros for Croatia, for a fair, green and digital recovery

The measures aim to support the resilience of the labor market, employment, SMEs and low-income families, and lay the foundations for a green and digital transition and a sustainable socio-economic recovery.

The Commission has provided more than € 336 million in additional funding to Croatia, France, Germany and Greece to help them address the economic and social consequences of the coronavirus pandemic and boost a fair green and digital recovery.

The additional funds provided under the REACT-EU program complement the six operational programs of the European Social Fund (ESF), the European Regional Development Fund and the European Fund for the Most Deprived (FEAD).

In Croatia, an additional € 10 million will be allocated to the FEAD operational program to continue providing support to citizens most in need, including those affected by the coronavirus pandemic and two devastating 2020 earthquakes.

Vulnerable people will receive food assistance in the form of hot meals and basic items such as hygiene products and school supplies.

REACT-EU is part of the NextGenerationEU instrument, which provides 50.6 billion euros of additional funds (in current prices) for cohesion policy programs during 2021 and 2022.

The measures aim to support the resilience of the labor market, employment, SMEs and low-income families, and lay the foundations for a green and digital transition and a sustainable socio-economic recovery.
